Anyhows, I spent my summer vacation in the one of the cosmopolitan cities in the world, Shanghai. I doubt most of us (Singaporeans) would choose to visit any state in China but I was there for a valid reason. Got a treat to watch a live concert at the very famous Mercedes Benz Arena. Not sure if you could guess which concert this is. Of course, Above & Beyond is still #1 in my heart (hehehe). Swear I am a sucker for these massive bright lights, they make me go cray.

Also, I am totally addicted to this snack which you can only get in China. My entire luggage was filled with it when coming home! New addiction/vice in my life indeed.

Short update for this post but I hope to write more in future. Stay tuned! Will be back again, stay zen for now.

Anish Kapoor / MCA, Sydney

Oh gosh, I know I’ve been really terrible at keeping up with the regular posts on PXK but here’s a collection of photos I took last month at the Museum of Contemporary Arts Sydney. Almost every single piece was too amazing for words. Anish Kapoor’s exhibition was just so extraordinary and I can totally understand why the partner, S, is so in love with his work. I just had to bring home a souvenir for her so that I can share the experience even though she wasn’t there with me.

March is coming to an end, and if you’re in Sydney don’t miss out on the opportunity to catch the exhibition. (;

This time I went back to just chill and do a little less touristy things, Sydney pretty much remained the same to me. Well, maybe not so much for the weather and time difference due to daylight savings. Had so much good food this time round and I couldn’t stop having Asian every night. Especially Korean and Jap food, oh my god, it was SO GOOD. Also, I was lucky enough to wait less than an hour in line to dine at Jamie’s Italian!

And of course, A&B Australia tour in Sydney was too awesome for words I almost wanted to book a ticket to fly to Melbourne to catch them in the next weekend again. My love for A&B is too much for me to even explain it, heh. Mad night, mad music and one helluva experience! Will write and post more pictures in my next entry about Anish Kapoor. Yes, if you read S’ post previously I got her some souvenirs from the MCA.

Got myself the Kate Moss by Mario Testino book at USD $69.99.

I would say this book is an absolute great choice for all Kate Moss fans out there! The entire book is filled with amazing photographs and to add on, Mario Testino did a great job on every picture featured. Summing it up, 2013 is hitting off pretty well for S and myself. Stay wicked everyone.

You might have read in the previous post that S has received her parcel from Shopbop. Mine arrived a few days later as I made my online shopping spree a few days after her. As I was leaving home to attend a dance production, the postman rang on my door bell to deliver my parcel and it made my heart skip a beat! I’m sure receiving packages from the mail man always gets a girl excited!

Got myself 3 items I figure I would need. 1) I’ve too many digital watches on hand and I need an analog watch for a more elegant look. 2) I can never have too many iPhone covers. 3) Decided on a Marc by MJ bracelet just because it came in purple. Though it’s a bit too loose for my wrist but still, I can live with it!

The year is coming to an end pretty soon, will 2012 really happen like what everyone says? As you can see from the silhouette above, my hair has grown much longer as compared to the display picture on the side bar of this site. It also shows how time flies and PXK will soon reach its 2nd year old. For now, treasure what’s left of the year (before D-day arrives?) and let’s do our part of giving back to the local economy by taking up a notch on the festive shopping!

It definitely feels therapeutic to write again. Till then, keep sane and be good for Santa parties.
